The secret life of bees! it's about a girl who lost her mom and has a very violent dad but then her and her nanny go find her moms old nanny and live there, she finds out alot about her mom and falls inlove with the boy who works at the honey farm. the twist is she is white and he is black and they live in the icky racist south in the U.s. There are alot of mean things the people in the town do to them for the sake of racism but they get through it together and it's oh so cute reading about them
