I think they're awesome :)
It's a shame they're illegal where i live, but if they were they'd be much harder to get and more expensive. They're so cool~ they just look kinda creepy with the wrong colors on the wrong people.

She's talking about Korean brands like GEO, they are not approved by FDA; therefore, not legal in USA. People still use them all over the world, but selling not approved by FDA medical devices (such as contact lenses) is not legal here. Again if you bought them, let's say in Korea and brought them to US for your own use, it's all good.
what? but so many ppl in US use them. They're legal where I live. And however ur very pretty
ANY type of contact lenses being sold in the U.S. ( circle lenses or not ) are illegal without perscriptions.
lol I asked my eye doctor about them once and he told me stories of kids who had come in with eye damage because of ill fitted lenses (but those can apply for all contact lenses) and he disapproved of them even though GEO is a legit brand. I read wearing them a lot without the right shape kind of shapes your eyeball to the lenses. If they aren't illegal I'm pretty sure they're at least trying to have them outlawed here XD
I think according to it, it's fine if you tell your doctor what kind of lenses you want and he approves of them. All my pairs are GEO and it's respectable brand, so I don't worry about the quality even though they are not made in US. My bf use the contact lenses on daily bases and the brand is Accuvue, it's Japanese, I think, so it should be fine :) Not illegal at least :D
oh,really? I honestly thought all soft lenses are the same shape. Do you mean corneal reshaping lenses? But they are specific medical device and I doubt they have anything in common with CCL or being sold on the internet. Here I found the rule itself => http://business.ftc.gov/documents/bus62-contact-lens-rule-guide-prescribers-and-sellers
Even if you do have a prescription, i think it's the fact that just anyone can buy them that people aren't supposed to sell them, though I don't know if it's still breaking laws if you only sell to people with prescriptions. even if it's plano the shape of the lenses are supposed to be custom to your eye shape or your vision can get kinda messed up.
Oh, yes I know about that law. I got the notice about that from the seller I usually buy contacts from. but it's not like they are illegal, it's just you have to have prescription, isn't it? And you still can but plano lenses if you have it. Just most of the sellers either don't know about this rule or consciously disobey it.
Actually, they are illegal in the U.S all together And not approved by the FDA. you are not supposed to sell contact lenses to ppl without perscriptions, and you aren't supposed to be able to buy them willy nilly because lenses are supposed to fit your eyes exactly or they can cause damage.:o lol
Oh, I never heard of circle lenses being illegal! Is there some sort of law in Ohio for that?
